Social epidemiology and global health topics impact every single person on this planet. From the way we select providers to where we go to receive care, our individual and community attitudes
and perceptions inform our health decision-making. Amanda believes that making these findings more accessible brings dialogue to communities, which helps break down myths and misconceptions.
It is necessary for social scientists to step down from their ivory tower and engage with the public about their findings. Through sharing her knowledge and experiences in research, Amanda hopes to prompt more discussion about health and hopefully inspire future scientists.
